You can visit many places in the realm wondering you just had left the time/space continuum, coz' you find yourself on a spring break party in Florida, with everybody smoking pot and eating banana pancakes and drinking whisky and eating homemade yoghurts and dreaming of safe sex with a swedish girl, and vomiting in the sea before fighting 5 against 1.
Not so Hua Hin. Though its highly touristic now, you are still in Thailand. It offers the charm of a Thai village that turned into a weekend destination for Bangkokonians ( what it ever was),dislocated elderly people who seem not to find their way back to their retirement home, stranded expats with their thai wifes shouting at them at 3 pm, 'cause theiy are already pissed again, ageless golfers looking for the 19 hole, all kinds of passengers on the search for the Samui spirit from '71 ( completely dislocated) and me, a global hangover scout.

I will take my time the upcoming weeks to give here a report about Hua Hin, this little former fishing village and what it is why I still come back after almost 20 years. stay tuned
