Hello Philippines!
This is one of the most wonderful place i've ever worked. Besides the delicious food they offer their crews are very hospitable and accomodating. Even the owner of Vasco's is very approachable. So, guys don't miss this great place and have sometime for a visit. You'll surely enjoy the ambiance and the delicacies they serve!

Well, I don't know who Fat Freddy might be, and though some things have changed since he wrote it, the important parts haven't. FEDEX isn't so strong a factor, and sadly the birds don't get to run free. But the view is great, the food is good, the atmosphere just as it should be. Brian will come and sit and chat for a while assuring you that the bird won't bite if you pat his neck under the feathers. I have proof of the view and the bird; you'll have to take my word about the food. check her blog at

If you are at the SBMA Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority), DO NOT pass this eatery. It's a wonderful place, run by Australian Brian Homan. He is a diver, treasure hunter, teacher, bird trainer, and just an all around nice guy.
Vasco's is a dockside sitting open-air establishment with a fantastic view .
Great food and relaxing after a day of touring the SBMA and Cubi.
In the afternoon Brian let loose his tame Cockatoos to run run the bar . He has two seats from the FEDEX plane that went off the runway at Subic in 2000. Tourists usually do not stop there but Vasco's has a steady trade from the workers at Cubi, the FEDEX pilots and ex-pats in the know. So if you are heading for Subic , drive towards Cubi, look for Magellan's Galleon & Marine Inc., turn in, park, sit down at Vasco's and be prepared to have a day you can write home about.
